Lecturer

I am an enthusiastic lady with a great passion in computing and technology. I am a testimony that ladies can as well excel in STEM courses and have a voice in this male dominated field. I am currently pursuing a doctorate degree in Information Technology Security and Audit with a special interest in Blockchain, Distributed Ledger technologies, Privacy and Computer Security. I have over ten (10) journal publications and I’ve attended several workshops, seminars and exhibitions. I have been involved in university education for over twelve (12) years. I bring forth a massive experience to both my students and peers towards transforming technology and education.

January 2019 to Date:               Doctor of Philosophy in Information Technology Security and Audit at Kabarak University, Thesis proposal entitled “Private-Permissioned Blockchain Technology based Model for Securing eHealth Referral Systems in Kenya.”

May 2010 – June 2013:               Postgraduate Studies at Strathmore University, Obtained MSc in Information Technology (System Security and Audit Option). Thesis entitled “ICT Adoption Framework in Rural Secondary Schools: Case of Meru, Kenya” (MSc Thesis).

August 2002 – May 2006:           Undergraduate studies at Kenya Methodist University, obtained BSc in Mathematics and Computer Science, Second Class Upper Division. Research Project title: “Kenya Methodist University Sacco management System.”
