Dr. Gabriel Waweru

Dr. Gabriel Waweru is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Business and Economics at Meru University of Science and Technology. He holds a PhD in Business Administration (Accounting and Finance) from University of Cape Town, South Africa, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (Finance) from Egerton University, a Bachelor of Science in Applied Accounting, CPA (K), and CPS (K). Dr. Waweru has over 18 years University teaching experience. He has authored several academic books and published articles in peer reviewed journals in the area of accounting, taxation and finance.

Dr. Waweru has research interest is in analyzing financial sustainability of Savings and Credit Cooperative Societies, governance structures, emerging issues and regulatory issues. In Education sector, Dr Waweru has research interests in the general management, financial management and financing of secondary schools and public universities. Emerging issues in this sector are also encompassed in this category.
