Dr. Mbae holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biotechnology from the University of Mysore, Karnataka, India. He earned both his Master of Science (MSc) in Food Science and Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Food Science and Technology from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. He further advanced his specialization through a Certificate in Dairy Technology from Ghent University, Belgium.  He joined Meru University of Science and Technology (MUST) in 2011, following his tenure at the Dairy Training Institute, Naivasha. His professional experience encompasses senior roles within Kenya’s horticultural export sector, including service as Quality Assurance Manager at AAA Growers Ltd. and Assistant Packhouse Manager at Sunripe (1976) Ltd. In addition, he briefly held the position of Assistant Business Development Manager at AgriQ-Quest Ltd., a provider of agricultural laboratory services.
