Dismas is Certified Cisco Network Professional on advanced switching and routing based on Software Defined Networks (SDN) principles. He is also a Certified Huawei HCIA Security tutor with outstanding experience in risk, security and privacy management. He prides in deep knowledge of security hardening and system configuration, security review, and ethical hacking techniques with ability to evaluate threats and vulnerabilities. He has exhibited practical ability to manage and maintain security incident response, vulnerability management and patch management processes. Dismas is also a developer and implementer of Information Security Policies and guideline in line with organizations Policy and ICT Authority standards. He has vast experience in the field of User Support, System and Network administration involving multiple platforms of operating systems such as Microsoft Windows Server (2003, 2008, 2012), Windows (7, 8, 8.1), Linux (Ubuntu, FreeBSD, Fedora), Unix and Mac.

Duties
- Facilitate teaching of students by ensuring computer labs are always ready for use with appropriate software’s as requested by the lecturers.
- Training students on good computer use practices while in the lab as well as facilitating access to learning resources by ensuring availability of internet and library resources.
- Maintaining the integral security of town campus networks and its devices while installing and configuring new systems, hardware and software for staff and students’ access.
- In-charge of development and implementation of ICT policies and procedures in town campus as well as writing periodical reports about the status of town campus ICT equipment’s to the director town campus and head of ICT.
- Creating and maintaining accurate database of all ICT equipment’s in the campus while keeping a record of pending and resolved IT issues during diagnosis, troubleshoot and repair computer, servers, networks, systems and printers.
- Communicate to users of maintenance schedules and outages that might arise in line with university policies and procedures.
Achievements
- Established and manage connection for ERP (Microsoft Nav) system between main and town campus.
- Enhanced network security in town campus by creating Active Directory (AD) for student authentication while access university resources.
- Implemented Telephony System in Town Campus for inter office communication using Elastix.
- Established ERP System and Network Monitoring system using Nagios and Nconf within the Campus.

- In-charge of Corrective and Preventive maintenance of ICT equipment’s and preparation of corrective and preventive maintenance schedules annually.
