Prof. Hilda Omae

Deputy Vice Chancellor for Administration, Finance, and Planning

Professor Hilda Nyougo Omae is a distinguished academic and administrator currently serving as the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Administration, Finance, and Planning. She brings a wealth of expertise in measurement and assessment, educational leadership, and institutional management, grounded in both local and international experience. She has served as the Dean of the School of Education, Chair of the Education Science Department, and the Teaching Practice Coordinator, among other roles.
Prof. Omae holds a Ph.D. in Measurement and Quantitative Methods from Michigan State University, USA. She also earned her Master of Arts in K-12 Education Administration from the same institution, equipping her with a strong foundation in educational systems management. She began her academic journey with a Bachelor of Education (Science) in Mathematics and Chemistry from Egerton University, Njoro, Kenya.
Throughout her career, Prof. Omae has demonstrated a commitment to excellence in education, research, and institutional development. Her leadership is characterized by a focus on strategic planning, financial stewardship, and the advancement of administrative systems to support academic excellence and innovation.
